Birthday Weekend

It was my birthday yesterday and all the family came up for the weekend for a party.

We went tobogganing.

David put a Go-Pro on Mr. Peabody's head and once he figures out the edit program, I'll post  the best parts of what the camera captured.

Lucy enjoyed tobogganing too.

We also built a rink.
Here's Mikey-poo cutting a hole in the ice with a chainsaw. In this photo, it looks like he's going to fall through the square he's cutting,

The ice was 14 inches thick.
We used buckets to flood the rink.

Shovels acted like a Zamboni.

But having a hole in the ice meant we could go fishing!  Notice how Lucy is patiently waiting for a fish to pop up.

When the water froze we donned our skates….

….and went skating!

We also made a snowman.

He was really tall.

Because we could only find pine branches for arms, Caitlin decided the snowman was really a snow angel.

When we came indoors, we put our cold skates by the fire to warm up.

Another fun weekend in Paradise!
