Sunrise

Here's the sunrise this morning.

The fog will disperse soon and the sun will be brilliant all day long and even for several days.

As soon as everything dries out, I will paint the boathouse. It's looking really rough with no thanks to the Bluejays that pecked the paint all winter long.

There's lots of wildlife activity around too, now that spring and warmer weather has finally arrived.

Yesterday I saw a Moose where our road meets the highway.
The first Hummingbird appeared around dinner time last night.
There are Trilliums blooming in the woods and there are Trout Lillies on the banks by the mailboxes.
Oh, and there's a bear around. Apparently it is massive. It ripped a bear-proof bin, complete with a concrete base out of the ground and tossed it across a neighbours driveway nearby last Saturday.

Three Mallard drakes have been hanging around here too. Ralph isn't too keen on them and when he spots them, chases them away quacking loudly.

  1. I hope Muriel is doing fine...

The photos have a mystical feel to them...sounds like spring is really breaking out there! I might be a little afraid to go for a walk with a bear that big around. At least it sounds massive to me...and sounds angry, too, to rip that out.
