Blue Jays

We seem to have a lot of Blue Jays. Not as many as last year, but plenty just the same. Click on this photo for a bigger version.

After they've had some seed, they look for some earth to eat. Since the ground is mostly covered in snow a tiny bit of bare ground is difficult to find. So I've put out a basket full of soil inside the Gazebo and they seem to like it just as much as the seed feeder.

However there are still some Jays that prefer pecking at the paint on our garage doors, boathouse railings and I even saw a Jay pecking at the neighbours window frames.
