Lake is frozen.

Last year it was November when the lake froze over. A few years ago it wasn't until February. This year, it was last night.

It was such a lovely sunrise this morning and the moon looked like a fingernail in the yellow sky.

Since the forecast is for high wind, rain and temperatures hovering just under 10 oC by mid-week, it's quite possible the thin ice will disappear.

But for now the layer of thin ice is simply beautiful to look at.
