Any port in a storm.

The past couple of days have been overcast and rainy.  Most mornings and evenings, there has been fog.

Today, there was a nasty storm that blew through.

And these 2 Wood Ducks showed up during the storm, clinging to a tree branch to wait it out.

I took this photo through a window which definitely needs to be cleaned.

These 2 were around last week eating seed from under a feeder.
Apparently Wood Ducks nest in holes in trees and their webbed feet have claws, unlike other ducks such as Muriel and Ralph, our resident Mallards.

 He's a handsome brute don't you think?  It looks like someone painted white lines on him.

But when his mate incubates the eggs, he takes off and is nowhere to be seen.
