Eye in the Woods

Last night we debated whether to put the Stealth Cam in the woods or on the Boathouse.  

Having seen unusual tracks during the day yesterday in the woods, we opted for the woods.

Nothing showed up in the 50 or so photos that were taken by the camera.  Tree branches and falling snow triggered most of them except for 1 photo.

In this photo, looking to the tree trunk on the far left, there is a broken branch sticking out of the snow.

Ha! Check out the eye looking back in between the trunk and the branch.  

The infra red on the camera lit up the eye.

I'd say it was coywolf height, and the eye coywolf size.

Then in a flash it was gone.

However we should have put the Stealth Cam on the Boathouse because during the night, something came along leaving tracks right in front of where we would have set up the camera! Doh!
