Then and Now

Here are photos taken in mid-April a few years ago....


This one was taken April 11, 2012.  Just look at those lovely Muskoka diamonds on the lake.

Here's the first Loon of the year, taken April 18th 2011. There's a little bit of ice left at the bottom of the bay.

There's just a little bit of ice at the mouth of the bay - April 17, 2009

And here's what it looks like today: April 15, 2013.

The bay is frozen over and the ice still probably fairly thick judging by the Coywolf that weighs around 70lbs  and walked across the bay without falling in.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was May before the ice goes out. I wonder if that would be a record?
