Good bye Autumn

The week started out warm, sunny and still plenty of colourful trees. It's been a fantastic autumn this year.

Here is a young fellow enjoying a Monday-after-school-ski-around-the-bay.

Usually around this time of year, our local population of deer 'yard-up' but so far this season I haven't seen more than 3 deer at a time: momma doe and her twins.

This is mom while her 2 fawns were hiding in the woods.

On Wednesday, Becky came up to visit and get her Thanskgiving Dinner that she missed out on during the weekend because she was in Scotland.
She brought back lots of fun souvenirs for us, like scotch for dad, shortcakes and CD's entitled Red Hot Chili Pipers featuring tunes like Thunderstruck and Smoke on the Water played on bagpipes.

She showed us her amazing photos of Scotland. The scenery there is so beautiful.

By Thursday the temperature started to go back to what is usual for this time of year and clouds rolled in.

This is a pond en route to Rosseau. The trees have lost most of their leaves so the landscape colours are fading fast.

This weekend is Cranberry Festival.
It always, always, always rains during Cranberry Festival.
Sure enough, rain rolled in Friday and it looks like it staying for the week. Along with cooler days too.
Check out what's coming Tuesday.......

I guess autumn is on it's way out.

  2. Love the color in that first shot...I don't think we are ever going to get much good color here this year. And I love that last shot...sounds like your daughter had a great time.
