When will it end?

According to the weather forecast, we're supposed to get somewhere between 20 and 25cm of snow from now through to Sunday.  Today we got 10cm, maybe more.

Last night on the news, a report said we have received 147cm of snow during December and 84cm is the normal amount.

We were heading down to the Big Smoke today but the road to town was completely snow covered - deep  snow too - plus visibility was nil.

So we turned around in town and headed back home.

David cleared our driveway and then  our road.

I shoveled the Treehouse and Cottage decks and made an attempt at clearing the boathouse roof deck.

My photos look like they are black and white.  They're actually colour.  There's one constant snow squall that's making everything look grey and bleak.

The snow on the fence bird house has taken on a new look.
The first snow that fell a week ago, looked like a bakers hat.
Then a few days later, something Rasta.
Now it looks like the hat Bonhomme Carnaval wears.

At one point today, I noticed a chipmunk still out collecting nuts and seeds.  I think it's living under the downstairs deck by the hot line to the lake.  It would be a nice warm spot.

When we were done clearing, we taped a broom to the roof rake trying to the clear the satellite dish.  But the rake came uncoupled from the handle, doh.
So there it sits until we can find someone to sweep the roof and rescue the roof rake.

Guess it's back to watching DVD's and listening to CBC on the emergency radio.
