Usually it's mid-April, somewhere between the 10th and 15th when the ice goes out. Last year is was a little late with April 20th being the date.
I put my camera on top of the snow and took this photo. The Muskoka diamonds are sitting on top of the lake, just waiting for the big thaw.
The Twitter feed from Algonquin Park wager the ice off their lakes will be late this year.
FYI, Trout season opens April 24th.
I am betting it will be April 28th before the ice goes out on our lake. David is betting it will be May 5th.
What's your wager?
