Bird spotting.

On our way in to town today, we spotted an American Bittern by the Community Centre blending in well with the brush and grasses.

Bitterns make an odd noise sounding much like hot sludge bubbling slowly in a pot and throw in a click sound to add to the mix.

However this Baltimore Oriole that arrived today and fed quite happily from the Hummingbird feeder has a beautiful song. It sounds much a Robin signing Bach or Vivaldi.

Sorry the photo is out of focus. I was shooting through a window and without wearing glasses.

Sadly, this Black-throated blue Warbler doesn't have any song. It flew into a window and that was that.
