Our National Treasure

Every Canada Day we have a huge dinner party which we have fondly named "Fundango."

We usually have a Canadiana theme too that we reveal before dinner.
One year we all had to make and wear Fascinators. Another time we had to compose a Canadian themed Limerick. Last year we had to present a Canadian artifact.

This year, the theme is to find a little known Canadian who has done something for the betterment of Canada, maybe an inventor, a scientist  or an explorer and then tell all the rest of the dinner guests about that person.

Well, I can see that Monk, a.k.a. Our National Treasure and usual suspect at the "Fundango" dinner has been on a quest gathering information. He was at the Governor General's Award Banquet this week with his sweetie who was presenting an award to a fellow actor.

Wait a minute.
Maybe he is a little known Canadian who should be famous for his one liners such as "The copy practically writes itself" or maybe his movie Edsville where everyone in the movie is Ed Sullivan or maybe even that he was the inventor of the board game News Hound.
That's it!
I have found my entry for  this year's Canada Day Fundango dinner!!
