Ice Out

This morning there was quite a bit of thin ice completely covering the bay.
By noon there were a few open holes and the wind was starting to pick up.
In the late afternoon, maybe 3ish, the ice disappeared from our bay and there were rolling waves.

By dinner time even the ice that was pushed to the end of the bay disappeared.

There are a few lingering ice floes that have been pushed to the shoreline by the waves and wind.

Rain is in the forecast for the next few days so it's growing overcast and grey looking but there's no mistaking a blue lake at long last.  There's still thin ice way out on the open part of the lake but it'll probably be gone by tomorrow.
