Surprise guest

It's always nice when a guest shows up unexpectedly.

This fellow made his appearance at the feeder today.  I took the following photos through the glass door. I didn't want to go outside and scare him away.

Once a year after a rather windy day, a Cardinal will show up and stay for a few days.

I suspect they come from Gravenhurst where there are lots Cardinals. 

I hope he stays for most of the winter since he's found some good pickin's here. Tomorrow I'll get some black oil sunflower seeds to tantalize him even more.
