Snow last night.

This morning we woke up to a light covering of snow.
Packing snow.
Perfect for making snowballs and throwing them at one's spouse.

When I looked out the kitchen window while making breakfast, Sweetie was at the gate.

Then she hopped up onto the septic bed and I tossed her a carrot.

When I looked out a little later I spotted another doe with her young buck fawn.

Then across the lane way I spotted this magnificent buck and a doe.  He was grunting but she wasn't running away.  Maybe the deed was done?

He sure is a handsome dude. He's a 9 pointer. You can see the front right antler is bleeding and missing a point. Maybe he tangled with the buck that came through yesterday?  He won the battle because the doe isn't leaving his side.

It's a winter wonderland here today.  It won't last though.  Rain is in the forecast for later.
