Christmas Eve

This time of year, it's wonderful to see snow and watch the lake freeze.
Last night it was -14 oC and our bay began to freeze.  It's making a tinkling sound too like chimes or cello paper being rattled.

By March though,  I'll be happy to see the snow and lake ice melt, but for now it's magical.

Meanwhile outside, the deer and turkey's are paying regular visits.  I don't mind the deer so much even though they eat my young spruce trees, but the turkey's are just pooping machines.

Inside, we've got the fire going and it's warm and cozy.

Everyone got an early gift this year; model helicopters.  We've been having a whole lot of fun flying them around inside.

And when we aren't flying, we're eating.

When we were tossing out veggie scraps, this deer came right up and ate out of the bucket!  It must have been trained by someone else to do this.

It sure is picturesque outside with the snow and the deer.

Merry Christmas everyone!
