While David was inside the store, I looked up through the sunroof and noticed our red and white flag flying against the beautiful blue sky. It looked like a Charles Pachter painting.
Then we drove to another store and gee-whiz if we didn't have to park 4 parking spaces away! Talk about a crowed parking lot.
Fortunately, that gave me a good view of the Inuksuk perched on the granite hill.
When our shopping was done and since it was such lovely day, we decided to go for a picnic.
This must be what the songwriter for Land of the Silver Birch had in mind when he wrote the line "blue lake and rocky shore"
And from here the line "high on a rocky ledge, I'll build my wigwam"
It was a perfect spot for a picnic. And we got to park right in front of the entrance.
There was no shortage of sunshine today........
............just a shortage of snow for Christmas.
The flag did have the perfect background. A picnic sounds good...but sure too nasty here to think about one today.
ReplyDeleteSure wish we had shopping days like that! Beautiful pics! I'd love to have the last shot, framed and on my wall!
