Wind in the Snow

Aside from being really cold for the last fews days, it's also been windy. And the wind has made some unusual patterns in the snow on the railing.

In this photo, it looks like the wind took a lemon zester and made a perfect scoring along the collected snow.

In this photo, the wind off the lake has blown through making the snow look like frozen lace.

Rain is in the forecast for tonight and above seasonal temperatures will follow for a few days so most of the snow will melt.  However it appears we will have a white Christmas according to the December long range outlook.
