Here's what I saw:
Entrance to boathouse. The water is up to the second step on the side deck.
View of the boathouse entrance from the side deck.
The water is up to the bottom of the boat hull.
View of the other side of the boathouse.
Rosie Ramp and steps are underwater.
Our next door neighbours dock has disappeared from view. Their Muskoka Chairs are in place but hidden in this photo.
Across the bay, this boathouse window is just about underwater. The last time we had rising water like this, maybe 5 years ago, the window on this boathouse was halfway underwater.
I took this photo yesterday. It looks like all the boathouses in our bay are floating without docks.
The high amount of snowfall this past winter season combined with the heavy rain of last week has caused this flooding. Our lake is fed by rivers leading from Algonquin Park and in turn, our lake feeds the rivers leading to Georgian Bay.
It's supposed to be sunny and warm for the next few days so hopefully much of the water will recede. However as I recall the last time we had this type of flooding it was weeks before the lake level was back to normal.
