Random Tuesday photos

This morning, the water looks a little higher than yesterday. Hmmm, news reports said it's already peaked. It also said our lake had gone up by 9 cm (3 inches) but I'd think it's much more than that. I guess it depends on where one measures from the high water point.

Meanwhile, debris is starting to float into the bay.  Here's a dock bobbing along.  It's a good sized one too that would make for a great raft.

Yesterday and Sharp Shinned Hawk hit one our windows. It took about 3 minutes for it to recover and then flew off. It dines on our little birds.

The day before this Fox Sparrow hit a window.  It took this fellow a good hour to regain itself before flying off.
These little birds jump back and forth to uncover insects under the leaves. They do a funny little dance.

Baby Buck was around the other day, posing with the birch deer garden ornament.

You can see his antler buds.  I wonder how many 'points' he'll have this fall?

Best of all this Loon that showed up in the bay a few days ago.  It's the first one of the season and it comes back every morning and evening. It could be one of the loons that usually nests by Eileen Gowan Island.

The Spring Peepers have started singing too, but I can't get a photo of them.
