Date night

Last night was date night, or more to the point, anniversary dinner date night.

En route by the side of the road and literally just up the road from our mailboxes we spotted this Snapping Turtle.

We think she was heading to the marshy ditch to lay eggs.  She'll use these massive claws to dig the hole.

At the restaurant, our dinner table was by the window giving us a wonderful view of the lake. After gazing at the island for a moment, I quickly realize I was looking at Bird Shit Island off in the distance.

But my island gazing was quickly diverted to the artful amuse bouche that arrived at the table.

I didn't take more photos of dinner because I was too busy eating the fabulous meal.

So how many years? 39.
