Last of the babies

The last of this years babies have arrived.

Chipmunks give birth in two cycles either spring and late summer.  This mom has just given birth and we will see her mini chippies in about 2 weeks time.

This Phoebe had two clutches this year, one right after the other. She built her nest on a Bat Box under our Treehouse deck.
These two little babies fledged on the weekend and have flown off to seek their fortune ... or seek bugs as is the case with Phoebes.

The Hummingbirds have fledged too and while I haven't got a good photo of the tiny newly fledged hummers yet, I'll keep trying.

  1. They are all adorable...

When we had Mama Squirrel here, she had two litters a year. I think one year she might have just had one...but in the 5 or 6 years she was here, and me feeding her, she had two all the other times.

I know that you are too far north for that to happen...sort of amazed me that the Phoebe had two...
