There were lots of other folks out on the lake taking advantage of the warm weather too.
We went over to Buck Island, near Millions Row.
Neighbours were over for dinner the other night and told us some information about the summer home
on this island.
Apparently, there are 16 bedrooms. That many bedrooms generates a lot of laundry however the owner wasn't keen on seeing that many sheets hanging out on the line to dry.
So he had a tower built behind the cottage and the laundry hangs inside there to dry.
The sun was shining brightly on the lake and there was no shortage of Muskoka diamonds.
Knowing this may be our last outing on the lake, we headed over to Bird Shit Island (Eleanor Island).
It's our first destination in the spring so it ought to be our last, we reckoned.
The blue herons were gone but not the gulls nor cormorants.
We spotted 3 Canada geese camouflaged on the shoreline.
Farewell Bird Shit Island. See you next spring.
Back home pulling in to the boathouse.
The forecast is for good weather again tomorrow and if it is, perhaps we can go out again.
I totally get the island's name now!!! I cannot imagine having 16 bedrooms! Can you imagine the laundry that comes from them...or the heat bill....
