Yesterday we went to Algonquin Park to see the fall colours.
We could have gone a day or two earlier in the week or waited for a day next week when it might have been less busy. But no. We had to go on Saturday when the entire planet was also there in their vehicles, motorcycles and giant tour buses.
There wasn't much chance of seeing any wildlife with all the human activity.
From my photos, it looks like there's no one around. Trust me when I say the entire planet was a the Park checking out the fall colours.
The colours were at peak but there weren't too many bright red maples.
We drove from one end of the park to the other along the Hwy 60 corridor.
We stopped at Lake Opeongo which turned out to be the least busy stop along the way.
Despite the traffic and the crowds we enjoyed the drive through the park.
We plan to return during the winter because no matter the time of year, Algonquin Park is always beautiful.
Such beautiful shots! I soooo want to go there one day. Just never seem to get around to it.
ReplyDeleteOh Karen, you need to go. (Just not on a Saturday, right Deb?)
ReplyDeleteYour photos are gorgeous... I miss Algonquin Park. My sister camped there for a few days last week and had a marvellous time.
Oh, wow, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when we want to do something and it is the weekend....or when we end up having to go shopping on the weekend.
Wow! These photos are beautiful. I love autumn colours.
