Ooops

It was -21 oC when I got up this morning. During the night, the lake froze over.

It doesn't usually freeze this early in the winter season. Last year it was Dec. 26 when it began to freeze over.  One year, it didn't freeze until mid February!

Temperatures are supposed to climb over the weekend. Plus it's supposed to get windy too so this thin layer of ice will break up.

We'll keep an eye on the ice and email our neighbour if the ice doesn't disappear so they can come up and turn on their dock bubbler.
