Solar Eclipse

This morning there was an annular eclipse of the sun.
It is a rare type of eclipse too.  Here's the info taken directly from CBC news website.

So I got out my camera and waited for the sun to rise.

I double checked that I got the time right.

Yep. Got the time right and it ought to be happening right now as I am holding the camera and trying not to look directly at the sun's glare!

But I didn't see the moon eclipsing the sun. Not even a little tiny bit of it.

For me, the sun was eclipsed by Browning Island and birch branches.
