Dish digging.

Our satellite dish has been buried in snow on the roof for far too long.  We have been watching DVD's, listening to CBC on our portable radio and in between, fired up Sonza on our iPhone. But we are missing watching the news and a TV in general even though we don't watch a whole lot of TV.

So we called our neighbour 'Dave' who shovels roofs in the winter and during the summer is a  purveyor of furniture and household accessories that he sells from his driveway.

One time, he had a grandfather clock for sale on his drive.
I confess, I bought a really cool double pineapple leg sofa table from him.
And our good friend Monk, (a.k.a. Canada's National Treasure) wanted to buy from him a huge rug with deer stitched on it as Monk thought it would tie his room together.

So anyway, Dave came right away and cleared the satellite dish clear. Yay!  Our hero and we're lucky to have him as our neighbour.

See ... its free and clear of snow!

The Gazebo weathervane is buried. Who knows which direction the wind is blowing from and actually, who cares? It's blowing and it's snowing. Winter must be on the way!

There's a squall that's supposed to sit over top of us all day with white-out conditions making driving dangerous.

We really need to get to town, because guess who hasn't done their Christmas shopping?
