More snow pictures

Becky called today and asked that I post more pictures of snow around the cottage.

Here you go Bex:

We saw the sun for the first time in days but just for a nano second through a snow squall this morning.
The sun disappeared in the squalls. We got somewhere around 15cm today.

I don't know how tall Lucy is when she's sitting, but you can see how high the snow bank is by the gate.

Our power went out today for an about an hour. Branches are heavy with snow and probably pulled on wire.
This is a photo of a branch our neighbour is worried about because it's hanging over his cottage roof. It sure is loaded with snow.

The snow bank in the driveway is higher than the split rail fence and high on the septic bed.
Dad didn't blow the driveway today because his new tractor is broken. Gah!  He thinks it's the starter.

The whale weathervane is buried deep on the Gazebo roof.

Here's a photo of the Gazebo taken years ago, without much snow on the roof for comparison.

Snow is high on every roof.  We aren't exactly sure how deep the snow is on the Treehouse roof but we wouldn't be far off if we said 4 feet deep.

My metal garden art flower seems to have grown taller.
See how deep the snow is by the Maple tree behind the flower? It's going to be a challenge this Sugarin' season.

As for the fence post birdhouse, it's pretty much buried.

The BBQ is buried too.  The snow on top of it is higher than the front door.  So our BBQ is now at least 7 feet tall.

Our road is open and plowed. That's not the case for many local roads.
Apparently there's one road that during the summer is a bit of an effort to navigate but right now, it's impossible to plow.
The contractor has given up and may have to get earth moving equipment in to open it up.

We get a break for the next 2 days. No snow!  Saturday it's supposed to rain and snow returns on Sunday.
