Maybe 30mm or more.
The local radio station is warning residents to get the snow off roofs because the rain will add extra weight to the 200+cm of snow that's fallen so far this season.
The Hydro people are warning that there will be power outages when the rain starts freezing.
Today we had our roof shoveler dude come over and clear the roof on the cottage and the Treehouse.
From the front of the cottage roof, there's a lot of snow now on the front deck.
I dug a little bit around the windows hoping the thawing snow and rain won't trickle inside.
The snow from the Treehouse roof also filled the front deck up there.
We've been blowing and shoveling all day to get the snow cleared from the decks. There's just a little left to go on the Treehouse deck.
While we were outside today, we could hear the familiar sound of aluminum ladders echoing around the bay. So we weren't the only one's getting our roof shoveled.
Meanwhile, we hurt.
Our hands hurt.
Our backs hurt.
Tonight we both plan to have a long hot shower and then drink mass quantities of red wine. If we don't have a headache tomorrow morning, then we'll be back shoveling the cement-like snow.
