ME: Check the radar and tell me when the squalls and blowing snow is supposed to end.
DAVID: Saturday.
Lots of snow fell last night.
So what else is new?
The snow is really high behind the plastic protecting our firewood.
Our wood pile is dwindling fast.
We started with 16 face cords in October. Now we're down to about 4 cords.
Usually we go through 12 cords during the winter. This winter has been exceptionally cold and it started early. I doubt the remaining firewood will last to the end of February.
Winter in the Great White North.
I'm-a-thinking you need 20 cord next year.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are having the CRAZIEST weather. Hot, hot, rainy, flooding summers. Wet, nasty falls. Early winter. Blizzard warnings out the wazoo. I gotta tell you, the weather is pretty darned nice in my neck of the woods... not that we have many woods, but you know what I mean...
What a lot of wood...lets hope winter ends early. It is so beautiful when it snows, but the cold gets to me. And we are not near as cold as you are.
