Both a male and female Pileated Woodpecker have been hanging around our suet feeder together over the past few weeks.
Pileated's are monogamous however during the winter months they roost in different locations. That's probably why we didn't see them at the same time at the suet feeder over the past 4 months.
This Pileated is a female. She doesn't have a red moustache.
