This squirrel ought to be vigilant. Yesterday a Snowy Owl swooped down to this feeder and grabbed a meal.
I didn't see what it took as it's wings were in the way. It could have been a Blue Jay, Mourning Dove or even a relative of this squirrel.
Meanwhile everything is slowing getting buried.
Rusty the Snowman and his rusty girlfriend are buried.
Majumder the Raven is buried. Only the tip of his beak is sticking out.
The boathouse roof deck is buried deep in snow.
Red squirrels make tunnels in the snow. Here's an entrance to one of them.
Lots of snow is still falling and will continue right through to Monday. It feels like we're living in a snow globe.
I guess you get used to this...I wonder if I ever would now. I sure think it is beautiful, though.
