What a wild week this has been. I really don't know the exact amount of snow that fell but it wouldn't be too far off to say it's around 5 feet of snow.
Every morning we'd wake up to find a foot of new snow on the railing.
We'd spend most of the day blowing and shovelling. In the evenings we'd watch old DVD's or something on Netflix because the satellite dish is buried deep in the snow of the roof. Then we'd get up the next mooring and do the same thing all over again.
This is the view out of PetBoy's bedroom window one day this week.
Here's another view looking in the other direction.
As the snow accumulates it takes on odd shapes. No bird could possibly get inside this little house for refuge.
And as for Rusty the Snowman and his girlfriend, they are both completely buried now.
While Dave sits on his tractor (his favourite toy) and blows the snow my task is to shovel the stairs and decks. The Treehouse is my first destination and each morning it looks like this…
Our neighbours deck is full of snow, almost to the top of the railing.
During all the squalls, wild winds and snow accumulation, surprisingly the power only went off for a less than a minute. Good thing too because the genny box is buried.
Here's a photo taken during a squall when we went out to get some firewood.
The snow sure acts like insulation and all that can be heard is the Blue Jays and Chickadees.
I hope this short video works…..
Oh my goodness! You have sure had the snow...and sounds like you have got plenty of exercise to go along with it.
