Surprise!!

It was cold yesterday and there were intermittent flurries but what a surprise there was on the ground this morning!

When is winter going to end?

Will it ever end?

And that's not all.
The lake level is steadily rising. It's gone up quite a bit over the past few days and it may go up higher given the extreme flooding further north on the watershed.

The sun is supposed to come out today and there's no rain in the forecast until next week so hopefully that will help with the water level.

However last night on the news the flood situation is really bad in Huntsville and the rivers that flow into our lake haven't peaked yet. Apparently it isn't about the speed of the water flow this year but rather the amount.
MNR say's the water from Lake Muskoka to the Bala Reach could hit 200 cm (that's over 6 feet!) in the coming days. http://barrie.ctvnews.ca/flooding-concerns-continue-to-rise-in-muskoka-region-1.2339950

  1. Maybe this will be the last dusting of snow for you! I hope they are wrong about the water.
