Getting ready.

Ralph and Muriel came by yesterday to say goodbye.  They filled up with a little seed that fell from the feeder and now they're flying off to points south.

We're getting ready for the next season too.

When it was 16 oC last Thursday, I got all the Christmas lights set out in their appropriate places.
I gathered some fresh spruce and hemlock branches for the window boxes.

Martha would be impressed.

We set out the birch reindeer that we made.

One can never have enough birch ornaments.

The entrance is decorated with a festive welcome.

Extension cords discreetly hidden under flammable mats. 

  There's lots more winter decorating to do.  This will do for now.
