Literally.
A bear came around in the night and trashed all our feeders. I truly thought that they had gone to more secluded locations preparing for hibernation.
We had a dusting of snow too which melted by sunrise.
White dots are snowflakes. |
Fortunately, we were able to get the glass replaced and the remains of the feeder were repairable.
Just the same, because the feeders were out of commission for a day, all the Evening Grosbeaks left.
Stupid bear.
Meanwhile out in the woods, all the leaves have blown off the trees thanks to the super storm. The little Beech trees still have their leaves though.
However there is one lone Poplar that looks like it's dead with the exception of a large branch that is holding onto it's leaves and they are mostly green.
No matter the weather it's always fun to go for a walk in the woods with Lucy.
You know, if you are like me, you don't mind feeding a few squirrels, etc...but simply cannot afford to feed a bear! I am loving your photos.
