What's for dinner?
While standing at the kitchen sink and looking out the window towards the back acres the idea came to me that maybe we should have turkey tonight for dinner.
There were 5 turkeys out back; 2 Toms and 3 Hens. They must be the remains of the family we've spotted during the course of the summer.
It seems like yesterday they were a group of young poults running along the laneway.
Now they are all grown up andtasty really big!

Have you seen how their feathers change colors in different light? They are absolutely beautiful. My husband hunts them, so I have seen them up close and personal and could hardly believe it.
