White Christmas?

We got snow this week and hopefully it will stay until Christmas.

The sunrises have been glorious this week though.  I took this one this morning.

This photo was taken a few minutes later.

This photo was taken Monday morning.  There is a little bit of ice forming on the lake.

These Mallards are pretending to be ice breakers.

Everything looks so pretty covered with a light dusting of snow.

David got a good shot of the female Pine Grosbeak.  We haven't seen a male yet.

Back to the topic of snow...

I noticed these tracks in the snow this morning which could be from a fox.

We followed them along the lane and up the hill.

In hindsight, I should have put lights in this spruce. It would look so pretty lit up at night and trimmed with snow.

Meanwhile, just south of town starting from the Muskoka store on the hwy to points south, there isn't any snow.
We are the lucky ones.

The long range forecast is calling for more snow.

I'm sure we'll have a White Christmas.
