I said ... enough already!

Last night the wind howled through the woods and it sounded like a freight train. A freight train from the Arctic.

The cottage creaked inside as the wind tried to find a way to get through the cracks. At one point I thought the roof was going to peel off and blow away.

But we didn't get too much snow. Or maybe we did but it didn't land because of the wind.

The only redeeming feature was seeing new tracks in the snow this morning.  It's a Fox for sure and maybe two traveling together judging by another set of tracks running parallel to these along the shoreline.

No wonder the Squirrels are hiding in the trees this morning!

The sap has stopped running however it may start up again by the weekend. As for spring, it doesn't seem to be on the horizon for a week or so. Stupid groundhog. He was way off!

  1. Looks cold. It is cool here and the wind felt like it was off an iceberg. I did discover that I have a couple daffodils in bloom.
