Some mornings it was really foggy.
This little Hummingbird perched on the chandelier in the Gazebo during the heavy rain.
When the sun came out, we went for a walk in the woods. This is the most beautiful looking Beech in all of the woods. It's perfectly shaped too. In the summer, we're going to have a picnic under the branches of this tree.
During the weekend when the air was still and humid, this Sugar Maple tree fell down. It made a huge sound in the woods answering the question to that old adage.
Here it is tangled with some other trees it took out when it fell. Great firewood!
Last night we had a frost. It nipped at my newly planted window boxes flowers. I suspect I'll be replacing the potato ivy next week. There a frost warning again tonight and even if I cover up the ivy, it may not survive the cold.
But the cold doesn't seem to bother the birds. The woodpeckers have been busy drilling holes looking for bugs. This dead tree must be chock full of critters judging by the many holes.
So much rain fell during the week, the lake level rose a good 2 or 3 inches. It's turned so chilly, we got out winter coats back out. But Wednesday it's supposed to get hot and humid again. Crazy weather.
The past two days our highs were just a bit above 60ºF, before that high 80's. Never know what it is going to be.
