More snow.

Much more snow fell overnight.  Maybe 25cm (9inches) or perhaps more.

I didn't take a ruler outside when I took these photos.  Lucy will have to be the measure and her belly is 30cm (1') from the floor.

Hwy 11 was closed for awhile last night as was Hwy 400 south of MacTier due to the squalls of Georgian Bay.
It was difficult enough finding our driveway this morning so the roads last night must have been awful.

The Gazebo roof and whale weathervane can be a good snow depth measurement guide.  When snow reaches the whales belly we know more than usual has fallen.

It sure is snowy outside and it's still falling, hence the bluish-grey photo.

However the road plow dude is making light work of the snow.  He has a new articulating plow on his new truck and was having fun adjusting the blade as he headed down a neighbours driveway.

Well, it looks like this snow is going to continue until Friday with possible accumulations of 50cm (19.68inches).  That's still less than the big storm of '09 over the same few days in early December.

  1. Oh, wow! That is beautiful, but sort of scary, too. (<<that's a sign of age. I bet you have to really keep a well stocked pantry!

  2. Oh, Lucy! Those pics remind me of how our Labs loved to frolick in the snow too. They'd bury their heads in the snow just like that. Hope you don't have to go anywhere for a few days. It sure is pretty though.
